I bought this unit as my first heat press machine. Good amount of research later, I realized that first I wanted a swing away style heat press because of its capabilities of doing thicker items like sublimation tiles and also because it gave me a good open work surface to work with. Wanted to make sure that that it would hold up well with the demands of day to day use. This product is well built, with easy to follow instructions and is heavy duty. It is smart of the manufacturer to put a shield around the spring mechanisms on the center of the machine, just in case some one is careless and pinches themselves inside of it. The unit comes with dual internal breaker as well, as the machine operates at a good amount of power as I understand most machines do. I've tested thicker items as well as thin, the platen open and closes clean and true every time. I do recommend you make sure you have the space for this machine. It is true that clamshell heat presses save space by going straight up and swing away heat presses have to have double to foot print for the swing arm to swing to the side. This is the nature of it though and you benefit from the open view of the garment at the expense of extra space being needed for it. Overall, it feels very well built and I think will stand the tests of time and grow with me as my business grows. Happy with my decision.
