Q: Will this press sub beer steins like the 16 oz frosted and the 22 oz ORCA? Are the other size options available separately?

Posted On: 2/11/2019 By: Mike

A: Hello, The 11/15 oz heating element pre-installed in the machine can accommodate the 16 oz frosted stein. We do not carry a heating element for the 22 oz Orca and would advise a mug wrap for use in a convection oven for that substrate.
Q: Can this also be used to press htv on mugs?

Posted On: 2/8/2019 By: chris

A: While HTV will work, it would not be recommended. HTV would be able to be peeled off and would not be dishwasher nor microwave safe. For a professional grade transfer, we only recommend sublimation.
Q: I want to buy the machine as a gift, but I want to know 1. How the image is transferred to the mug ?( Do you have to print the design first or cut a vinyl?) 2. If you have to print, what type of printer to you need and what type of paper and Ink?

Posted On: 12/7/2018 By: forna diphicyl

A: For the process of applying a graphic to a mug, this will require the use of a sublimation printer, loaded with sublimation inks, to print onto the sublimation paper.
Q: Do you supply instructions and time settings with the mug press, as guides?

Posted On: 9/1/2018 By: Audrea

A: Hello Audrea, we do have a general guide for that but most of the settings will be listed per item in our Sublimation Blanks section. If you need the temp/time for standard mugs, it will be 385F for 190 seconds.
Q: Can you sublimate 8 oz. glass or shot glasses, thanks?

Posted On: 9/1/2018 By: Audrea

A: Hi Audrea, as long as the sublimation items are meant to be pressed by a mug press, then it should be compatible. Sublimation items can often times only be cooked with an oven. Please do check with your supplier for that. As far as shot glasses, we only recommend our 1.5 oz ceramic shot glasses.
