Q: I'm new to the heat press world so with that being said will this work on pressing heat transfer vinyl to mugs, glasses, travel mugs etc? Thanks!

Posted On: 4/17/2018 By: Tiffany

A: Hi Tiffany, it definitely will. However, heat press vinyl onto mugs aren't going to be most durable way to transfer images onto a mug. The best way to do this is with the process of sublimation. For more information, please check out our for all sublimation tutorial videos.
Q: What size shot glass can this press accommodate? I think I read that iit’s for a 1.5 oz shot glass, is it possible to adjust it so you can use a 2oz glass (as an example)?

Posted On: 3/14/2018 By: Gina

A: Hi Gina, the only shot glass we'd recommend using with this attachment is the 1.5 oz Ceramic Sublimation Shot Glass we have in our drinkware section. We cannot guarantee that it will work with the 2 oz shot glass that those are not typically available. I would highly recommend contacting the sublimation provider and see if those are either made for a mug press with a shot glass attachment or oven wraps for a convection oven.
Q: We have the OKI white ink printer, so I understand that we could use that with the transfers. As long as they are not tapered could we heat press onto a powder coated water bottler? What about a tapered coffee traveler, if the taper was constant and minimal( not like the yeti )? Thanks

Posted On: 12/18/2017 By: Dustin Denney

A: Hi Dustin, our Signature Series mug presses are only compatible with the type of mugs that are in the description. If you have an unusually shaped mug and you would like us to check for you, first, please make sure this type of mug is available from a sublimation supplier. Secondly, check to see if it is a mug that is heat pressed. If not, you can always send an email to our support and our technicians can double check for you.
Q: Will this mug press accommodate SS cups like Yeti, etc.

Posted On: 10/20/2017 By: Rusty Fennell

A: Currently, the Signature Series 6 in 1 is only compatible with the sublimation blanks on our sublimation drinkware section. Anything listed that uses a mug press will work but other may need a convection oven. Yeti cups have a slight curvature to them which makes these machines difficult to wrap around so I would say it is probably not compatible. Most Yeti cups are sublimated with oven sublimation wraps instead of a mug press.
Q: Can I hear press vinyl on plastic cups

Posted On: 8/29/2017 By: Tasha

A: You cannot since plastic cups are made out of plastic which would generally melt. We would recommend pressure sensitive vinyl for plastic cups. This is an adhesive type of vinyl that does not require a heat press.
