We bought this machine the end of November, being the runmup to the Christmas holiday my wife didn't want to switch to a new machine she didn't know. She currently has two Cricut machines, that I have hated since day one! We made it through Christmas and all the priority projects, and finall set the Romeo up today. She has bee watching videos and I also watched some seeing as I help her with the designs. I have been using Coreldraw for years. Within two hours of plugging the machine in and getting connected to wifi she had managed four vector cuts and two print and cuts. on vinyl and on paper.
The program, Leonardo Design Pro is easy to get going with and with the help of online videos fairly easy to use. She still has more to learn but she is very happy with the results so far.
Needless to say the two Cricut machines are on their way to Marketplace for sale.
I knew it was time to upgrade to a faster cutter so I researched and researched and researched...finally I decided on the Siser Romeo. I cannot explain how happy I am that I made the purchase.
It is extremely fast compared to my previous cutter which I still use simultaneously but on small things that I don't mind waiting for. It also helps that I can utilize bigger rolls with or without a cutting board.
For some there maybe a small.learning curve but it's not something you won't be able to brush up on via YouTube. One of my biggest decision makers was how fast I would be able to learn the cutter system. I was able to get a big part of my knowledge from other Romeo users via YouTube before my purchase. If you think it maybe an issue definitely do your research!
