Simply place the strips on different parts of your lower platen, set your press to any temperature between 340° and 380° F, and then clamp down your heat press as if you were pressing a shirt. The highest temperature reached will be between the last black temperature element and the first gray/white temperature element. If this matches the temperature you set on your heat press, then it's calibrated correctly. If not, then you'll want to re-calibrate.
