HPN Signature Series Drawer Style Lower Platen: The drawer style lower platen allows you more space to lay down your transfer material without having to put your hands directly underneath the heat. This feature provides you with increased saftey while maintaining the compact nature of a clamshell heat press.

Q: Hi, I'm hoping to purchase this 16x20 heat press after reading positive reviews here. Can you tell me where this heat press is manufactured? Thanks in advance

Posted On: 2/8/2018 By: Mike M

A: Hi Mike, all of our HPN series heat press machines are manufactured in China but fully supported here in the US.
Q: What is the weight of this heat press?

Posted On: 12/9/2017 By: Debbie

A: This machine weighs in at 110 pounds.
Q: What is the dimensions of the base?

Posted On: 11/27/2017 By: Laura

A: The base frame measures in at 11" x 22".
Q: Hi, how do I gauge the amount of pressure being applied. For example if I want medium pressure is there a certain amount of turns from a set position or is there any indicator?

Posted On: 10/22/2017 By: michael marlow

A: Currently, there are no digital pressure readouts that will indicate how much pressure you're applying. The best way to determine medium pressure is by using a dollar bill. Basically, with a dollar bill, stick in half of the bill long ways in the front of the platen and lock in your machine. As you've clamped the entire half of the bill, try to see if you are able to pull out the dollar or not without tearing it. If it barely slips out, you are just about 2-3 bars of pressure. Just when you get it to clamp, that should be about 4-5 which is medium. Then, if you increase your pressure more from there, you will start to operate at 6 and above.
Q: I was under the understanding that this has the auto open feature. How do you get that to work. Thanks

Posted On: 3/1/2017 By: Marchetta

A: The Auto Open feature works with a electromagnet that is installed in place. Once you close your machine, the electromagnet will lock into place and when your timer counts to 0, your magnet will release and the gas shocks will be able to push your machine back open. Now you must ensure that you have adequate pressure or else you are not providing enough room for the gas shocks to push your machine open. I would suggest using a piece of paper and clamping about a third of the paper in the front and making sure the paper stays locked in when your machine is closed. If your paper slips out, you will need to increase pressure.
