When it comes to cut speed and blade depth, it is wise to begin with a much slower than usual cutting speed. Continue to do this until you are confident that the cutting speed will stay in the areas damaged by quick moving cutter blade. Most experts recommend that the lower range should begin from 10 and go until 70 for tests. Letters are best cut on 4” decal under 120 speeds.

Cutting Pressure And Results

The setting of blade pressure is linked to using right blade depth at the time when you set the blade. In case you use in excess of 180 as the pressure setting on standard vinyl, it is a good idea to move blade to an increased cutting depth. If the vinyl is excessively thick, max cutting pressure to 300 while doing the job.

For consistent excellent results, the used settings should be tracked. There is always a temptation to start the cutting as quickly as possible. The best results, however, can be had only via multiple test cuts. These must be done through dial in right settings group. Any setting group must include parameters like pressure, roller location, post processing requirements, speed, weeding, and the type of vinyl used. Experts line up vinyl edges utilizing both rulers on a vinyl cutter. This is done both at the front and also in the back.

Weeding process

It is important that you know what you want prior to the start of the weeding process. Begin at a number of different angles. You can test the weeding this way. It is also important to make a note of what letters get pulled away at the time of weeding. The best weeding angle is the correct weeding angle. This is unique to every vinyl piece. It will permit the operator to pull off complete inverse image. This then can be utilized to use in its own decal. Although this is not mandatory, the ability to utilize the weeded vinyl repeatedly demonstrates an excellent choice when it comes to settings.

In case of transfer sheeting-the process where the vinyl is transferred to the final surface- it must be ensured that the vinyl roll and transfer sheet roll be in same direction. Creases and bubbles will occur if the transfer sheeting is applied at 90 degree angle. It is extremely helpful to position vinyl on transfer sheeting through the unroll of transfer sheeting with the sticky side up.
