A-B Marriage with Laser Dark & B-Paper Pro
To begin, we'll apply the A/B marriage technique with our Laser Dark and B Paper Pro. Place the image face down on the B Paper Pro, ensuring the logo is visible to you. Next, transfer the assembly to a heat press and press it for 90 seconds while covering it with parchment paper. This step ensures the adhesive attaches to the image.
Applying Laser Dark Layer/A Foil
Now, let's choose two gold hot stamping foils to enhance our design. Remember, the beauty lies in the customization options. Once the heat press step is complete, carefully peel off the B Paper Pro to reveal the adhesive adhered to the image. Trim the excess adhesive around the edges to prevent any transfer.
Preparing the Hot Stamping Foils
While waiting for the design to cool, cut the hot stamping foils to the desired size. Here, we're aiming for a solid gold top section of the pineapple and a shimmery gold bottom section. Align the foils accordingly, ensuring the color faces you.
Peeling A Foil & Applying Stamping Foils
After the design has cooled, remove the first layer of foil from the textile. Remember to roll it off gently. Now, it's time to apply the hot stamping foils. Contrary to expectations, place the foil directly on top of the design, with the color facing you. This ensures optimal results. Apply the foils to the respective sections of the image.
Peel & Reveal
Increase the pressure on the heat press for the final step, ensuring all layers mesh together. Press for 30 to 45 seconds, considering climate conditions. Once the pressing is complete, allow the design to cool for 30 to 45 seconds. Finally, peel off the foils starting from the corners, marveling at how easily and quickly they release. The remaining foil scraps can be repurposed for future projects.
