How To Export Your Designs from Sawgrass Creative Studio

This is your urgent reminder: Sawgrass CreativeStudio will be permanently shutting down on February 1, 2025. That means all designs, artwork, and print files stored in the CreativeStudio cloud will no longer be accessible after January 31, 2025. If you have files saved there, now is the time to act and ensure your designs are safe and ready for future use.

To make this process as seamless as possible, we’ve outlined step-by-step instructions on how to export your files from CreativeStudio. These instructions are based on a video we filmed, which you can watch for a visual walkthrough. But for now, let’s get started.

Step 1: Log In to Creative Studio

  1. Visit CreativeStudio. (gocreativestudio.sawgrassink.com)

  2. Log in to your account using your Sawgrass credentials.

Step 2: Locate Your Designs

  1. Once logged in, navigate to the "Creations" section where your saved designs are stored.

  2. Browse your library to find the design you wish to export.

Note: Remember that exported files will no longer be editable. If any of your designs include personalizations, it’s best to hide or delete those elements before exporting.

Step 3: Export Your File

  1. Open the design you want to save.

  2. In the top-right corner of the interface, click the EXPORT button.

  3. Choose where to save the file on your computer. This will save your file as an SGZ (Sawgrass Print File).

Pro Tip: If you’re exporting multiple files, consider creating a dedicated folder and renaming your files to keep them organized.

Step 4: Open Your File in Sawgrass Print Utility

  1. After exporting, open Sawgrass Print Utility on your computer.

  2. Click CREATE and then ADD FILE to import your SGZ file.

  3. Your file will open in its original dimensions, ready for printing. Adjust your settings as needed and send it to print.

Step 5: Save as a PNG for Future Edits (Optional)

If you need to personalize or edit your design further, you can save it as a PNG file:

  1. While your design is open in Sawgrass Print Utility, click the Save icon.

  2. Select your desired folder, rename the file, and click SAVE.

  3. This PNG file will retain its transparent background and full resolution, allowing you to edit it in programs like MySawgrass Designer, Photoshop, or any other graphic design software you prefer.

Step 6: Explore MySawgrass Designer

While exporting your designs, it’s a great time to explore Creative Studio’s replacement: MySawgrass Designer. This new online design program is feature-rich and syncs seamlessly with Sawgrass printers. Say hello to a modern, streamlined design experience!

Is there a way to save the photos in the gallery?

I’ve never used CreativeStudio and PrintManager to create my designs. I use Illustrator, Photoshop, or Silhouette for designing. All my work is saved on my computer. Does this mean I won’t be able to print to my Sawgrass printer when using Print Manager? This is confusing.

Karen

Will I still be able to use Print Manager when I would like to print from my Sawgrass?

This is putting me into panic mode.
