Laser Transfer

Forever Laser Dark - With the use of a white toner LED laser printer, you're able to create spectacular heat transfers for any color shirt.

This transfer paper is self-weeding due to the 2-step A-B transfer paper system where only the ink regions will actually transfer over. With the use of rasterization, this will reduce the feel even further to be extremely soft.

PROS

  • Supports rasterization for extremely soft and thin feel
  • 100% self weeding
  • Compatible with any color T-shirt
  • Ideal for any design
  • Unmatched transfer quality
  • Unlimited colors and details

CONS

  • Requires white toner laser printer
  • 2 step transfer
  • Steeper learning curve

Inkjet Light

Neenah Jet-Pro SS - This versatile inkjet transfer paper is meant for white or light fabrics only however due to this restriction, results in a very soft and thin transfer where it's hardly noticable on the garment! This transfer excells in quality and longetivity! This is advised to be used with a standard inkjet printer. Before application it is best to trim off excess of transfer where there is no ink.

PROS

  • Textured feel
  • Compatible with any standard inkjet printer
  • Ideal for flat and logo type designs
  • Unlimited colors

CONS

  • Requires trimming around the design
  • Not compatible with dark or darker color fabrics
  • Limited to 100% white or heather gray cotton

Inkjet Dark

Paropy Dark Pro - When it comes to application onto dark fabrics, the Paropy Inkjet Dark Pro transfer stands out with it's vibrant colors and soft feel on the garment. For this media you will want to use just a standard Inkjet Printer and a Vinyl Cutter with Contour Cutting to trim out the design. For less intricate designs though, use of normal scissors can be used as well for trimming.

PROS

  • Smooth feel
  • Compatible with any standard inkjet printer
  • Compatible with any color T-shirt
  • Ideal for flat and logo type designs
  • Unlimited colors

CONS

  • Requires trimming around the design
  • Limited details around design

EasyColor DTV

EasyColor DTV - The new inkjet printable vinyl by Siser introduces long durability as well as strong vibrancy, on top of having a soft feel on the garment. For this media you will want to use just a standard Inkjet Printer and a Vinyl Cutter with Contour Cutting to trim out the design. For less intricate designs though, use of normal scissors can be used as well for trimming. While this is similar to inkjet transfer paper, this stands apart due to the optional Siser TTD Masking Film to allow you to keep multiple pieces of your design lined up when bringing it to your garment. The mask sticks onto the transfer then releases after pressed.

PROS

  • Smooth feel
  • Compatible with any standard inkjet printer
  • Compatible with any color T-shirt
  • Ideal for flat and logo type designs
  • Unlimited colors

CONS

  • Requires trimming around the design
  • Limited details around design

Sublimation Paper

Sublimation (TexPrint) - This transfer is a traditional standard sublimation transfer where only the ink goes onto the substrate. With the use of a Sawgrass Sublimation Printer, the applied inks turn to a gas while transferred leaving only the ink on the garment. With fabrics this is restricted to light colored 100% polyester fabrics only but you'll notice that there is no feel at all on the garment as the ink imbeds into the fibers of the shirt.

PROS

  • Ink dyes directly into the fabric for "no hand" feel
  • 100% self weeding
  • Unmatched transfer quality
  • Unlimited colors and details
  • Ideal for any design

CONS

  • Limited to 75-100% white polyester
  • Not compatible with dark or darker color fabrics
  • Sawgrass Sublimation Printer required

Siser EasySubli

EasySubli - This transfer overcomes the restriction of the 100% polyester rule with sublimation by acting as a carrier agent for the design. You will want to still be using a Sawgrass Sublimation Printer for this media. The transfer itself will affix to the substrate instead of just the ink to allow long durability but will have a feel on the garment as it's not just the ink transferring. This transfer media also features the ability to use the EasySubli Mask to help keep multiple parts of your design lined up when bringing over to your shirt.

PROS

  • Textured feel
  • Compatible with any standard inkjet printer
  • Compatible with any color T-shirt
  • Ideal for flat and logo type designs
  • EasySubli Mask compatible
  • Unlimited colors

CONS

  • Requires trimming around the design
  • Limited details around design
  • Sawgrass EasySubl Sublimation Printer required
  • Less dark contrast than other transfers

Heat Transfer Vinyl

Siser Easyweed - This Heat Transfer Vinyl transfer method is a single color option with possibilities of being layered with multiple colors. Compared to a standard transfer this requires a vinyl cutting machine instead of a printer. The cutter slices out your design instead of laying down ink. This transfer excels best for single color logos or even just standard text!

PROS

  • Soft, thin, and smooth feel
  • Ideal for single color designs such as text and vectors
  • Compatible with any color T-shirt
  • Offers sheets and rolls for larger designs

CONS

  • Limited to single color per transfer
  • Requires weeding
  • Requires a vinyl cutter
Recommended Accessories

HPN Pro Grade Protective Gloves - Protect your hands when working with hot transfers. Certain applications, such as sublimation, require you to peel or expose while warm or hot. These gloves will allow you to do so comfortably so you always get perfect transfers.

Adhesive Spray for Sublimation - Perfect for use with sublimation, heat transfer paper, and any other application where you need a temporary adhesive with a spray application. This spray adhesive holds your transfer paper onto the substrate during pressing.

Upper Platen Protector - A useful tool for protecting your garment from getting scorched or burned during the transfer process as well as protecting your platen from acquiring any residual mess from your design. The upper platen protector negates the need to constantly adjust a pro grade non stick sheet along your garment and is just as long lasting.

Tee Pad It - These pads will allow you to raise your workspace away from the platen and ensure firm pressure on your desired area. For example if you're working with a polo shirt or a baby onesie, the seams may be raised too high where it won't allow full pressure. These pads can push your pressing area above all that to ensure a perfect transfer.

Sof-Fusion Pressing Pillows - If you're working with a synthetic material such as a blend or polyester garment, these are a bit more prone to pressure markings. These pressing pillows are a much softer version of the tee pad it's and are also surrounded in a non-stick sheet to make movement and insertion much easier. When working with synthetic fibers, higher pressure can result in edge/box marks to appear where it has creased the fabric. These pillows raise up your workspace but also level out of the pressure to reduce any noticable marks signicantly.

Pro Grade Non-Stick Sheets - When pressing your transfers, is it highly recommended to incorpate a shield, or layer of protection for your heating element. While most heating elements will have a non-stick coating, transfers if applied upside down can stick to the heating element surface. Also use of certain transfers can potentially leave a residue on the heating element. With the use of Parchment Paper or a Pro Grade Non-Stick Sheet this will act as a barrier to keep everything off of the heating element surface for smooth operation.
