It was a long wait but it finally arrived. I read some reviews that said it was not quiet, and some other things that were not as advertised. I think that was probably what caused the delay. But it does live up to everything I hoped for.
I love the upgrades to this machine. My only complaint is there isn’t instructions in the box you have to scan a QR code which would be fine for people like myself who owned the previous version, but could be confusing for first time buyers. This machine is definitely a better quality machine than the 4, and it’s much quieter
The Cameo 5 Plus seems like an awesome machine. I initially ordered mine back in Sept 2023 and after numerous delays it arrived Feb 2024. I was in the middle of re-arranging my office and didn't get around to unboxing the Cameo 5 Plus for a few months as the projects I had planned for it initially were set aside during the 5 months of delays.
When I finally was able to unbox the device I found the cutter pinch roller broken and just rolling around inside the machine. I contacted Heat Press Nation which referred me to Silhouette customer support for warranty support whom then offered to replace it (as it seems they cannot just send me a replacement part for the small part that is broken) BUT "the Cameo 5 Plus is currently out of stock and we are unable to proceed with the replacement at this moment". This was back in July 2024. It's now 1 full year since I ordered the Cameo 5 Plus and I still have no replacement or functioning machine and have not even had a chance to make even 1 cut of anything :-/ It would seem they should have a number of units held in reserve in the event a replacement is needed.
Customer service by HPN and Silhouette were both friendly so that's a positive takeaway from everything, lol :)
