Challenges with sublimating on the Enamel Mug

I have sublimated a couple mugs now and have had some frustrations along the way. First of all, I wish you could buy in smaller quantity. Now that I have 48 mugs and spent $200, it is frustrating to have problems with them. Due to the edge of the top of the mug, your designs have to start lower than a traditional ceramic mug (the top of the mug has to be outside the heating element). Even putting my image 3/4 of an inch below the rim, I have still had issues with keeping my ink a solid ink color (for example, black ink looks more brown at the top) - therefore, your actual design space is smaller and the mugs are already shorter/smaller than an 11 oz ceramic mug.
I also tried to sublimate based on the instructions provided and by heating my machine to 400 degrees and pressing for 360 seconds, the ink appeared to sublimate too much (not sure of the correct term) and the words were blurry (and larger than the original print image) - the paper also turned brown from the heat. I have since reduced the time and it is much better.
I also had two mugs that had a blemish in the handle (out of 12 mugs I have looked at so far) and upon removing from the heat press with a glove, a chunk of the handle came off and I can no longer sell those either.
Ultimately, I would not purchase these again and have been frustrated each time I have to throw one away due to a sublimation issue or a piece of the mug coming off. I am using a HPN mug press.
