HPN VinylSystems Evo 52" Cutter Plotter - Contour Cutting DC Servo Motor

It was pretty easy to set up. Although I couldn’t balance it properly HPN was great and sent a different wheel. Cutter works great. Just starting with it but wasn’t difficult to figure out. I am sure I have tweaking to do but nice machine and quiet.

I purchased Evo cutter back in August 2020 and wanted to give it some time to see how it stands up to the bigger name brands. At the price level of this machine it stacks up against machines two to three times more in cost. The motor is very quiet and smooth! I have not had any challenges with this machine since I first purchased it. I have had experience with entry and advanced Roland machines which are step and servo motor driven and the Evo is much quieter than those. It is very easy to set up, comes complete with everything you need! Cutter, metal stand with 4 wheels, two rollers to hold the vinyl, USB cord, cover, extra blades, entry level weeding kit, two blade holders, and detailed instructions. The stand needs to be assembled when you receive it so don't be alarmed, it very easy to put together. The stand doesn't seem sturdy at first but once you have the cutter mounted it becomes one. The one thing I did was peel off and move one of the stick on rulers. They have two stick on rulers, one near the cutting blade and another further down the exit. The vinyl would get caught on the ruler that was near the blade when it gets fed in and out. I peeled it off and move it further down and it resolved that problem. A very minor situation and doesn't compromise the machine quality or durability in any way. I highly recommend this machine! For the price and value you are receiving I am surprised this machine doesn't sell out more often. It's not the cheapest out of the bunch but with a higher price comes much more benefits and higher quality jobs. This machine will pump out high volume jobs in minutes at perfect accuracy. If your on the fence about this machine, do not be! Its worth the price and will provide you with trouble free performance! The only thing you may wish for is it being in a larger size, due to the size of the cutting mechanism, you loose about 3.5" inches of cutting area as you can't go edge to edge. The largest decal you can cut is roughly 24" to 24.5" It is a decent size but something to keep that in mind if your going to be accepting larger sign jobs etc. Other than that it is an awesome machine and you will not regret it!
