The Silhouette Cameo 4 cutting machine makes using rolls of heat transfer vinyl easier than ever! One of the new additions to this cutter is the built-in roll feeder. With the previous Cameo 3, the roll feeder was an attachment that was sold separately. But now with the Cameo 4, you can simply slide the bottom drawer out, flip open the feeding flap, then load a roll of material up to 12 inches wide.
To do this, place the vinyl up against the two rollers. One will need to be adjusted to the roll’s width. Push the release lever down, and move the right roller above one of the dotted areas below. Pull the lever back up, then press the boxed up arrow to load your roll into the Cameo. Remember to load your material with the proper side facing up. For heat transfer vinyl, this is typically the matte side up. Once loaded, you’re ready to cut! Rolls are perfect for cutting multiple transfers at a time and cutting larger transfers. Buying HTV by the roll also saves you money versus buying by the sheet.
After your cut job is complete, you can take advantage of the Cameo 4’s built-in cross cutter! Using the arrow buttons, feed your vinyl roll through so the portion you want to cut is sticking out, then lock it down so you can easily slice it off by swiping the blade left or right. The cross cutter can help save a lot of material whether you’re cutting rolls or sheets. The built-in cross cutter and roll feeder are just some of the amazing features on the Silhouette Cameo 4.
